After years of silence, Emily MacDonagh – wife of Peter Andre – has finally opened up about her role in parenting the children her husband shares with ex-wife Katie Price, and fans are hanging on every word.
Emily, who married Peter in 2015, made the rare and candid revelation during her appearance on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast.
Peter and Katie, who split in 2009, share two children: 20-year-old Junior and 17-year-old Princess. Since then, Peter has built a new life with Emily, and the couple have welcomed three children of their own – Amelia (11), Theo (8), and baby Arabella, now one.

Emily, a qualified doctor, confessed that while she’s not their mum, she still plays a guiding role in Junior and Princess’s lives:
“I’m not their mum, and that’s something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it a bit more like being a big sister… I try and give them guidance, but I wouldn’t overstep that.”
Despite her soft approach, Emily admitted she’s fairly strict when it comes to her own parenting style.
“I’m quite strict though, on my kids… Things like screen time – the older ones are exempt, luckily, because of the age gap. My kids don’t ask questions like, ‘Why do they get to use screens?’”
Emily’s heartfelt insight came shortly after Katie Price publicly voiced frustration over not being invited to Princess’s 18th birthday party.
On her Katie Price Show podcast, the former glamour model hinted she felt left out:
“Princess is now officially an adult, so mummy and Princess can now go out together – if certain people would let her be seen with me.”
She went on to suggest that former managers and representatives may still be influencing who Princess is seen with in public.
Katie’s sister, Sophie, added to the conversation, saying:
“You aren’t on brand, Katie. You’re too risky, Katie – that’s why.”
Katie fired back:
“It’s pathetic – I’m her mother.” She also claimed she wasn’t invited to Princess’s milestone birthday bash because the event was being filmed.
As tensions linger and blended family dynamics evolve, Emily’s calm and respectful words seem to offer a peaceful contrast – but the public continues to watch closely as this complex parenting picture unfolds.
