Kai Rooney looked every inch the rising star as he stepped out with his model girlfriend for a casual Nando’s date over the weekend.
The 15-year-old Manchester United youth player beamed while posing next to Rosa Jackson, a young model signed to Manchester’s Industry Model Management. Rosa, who boasts 7.8k Instagram followers, often shares snaps with Kai and recently revealed she had filmed an advert for Iceland with TV personality Josie Gibson.

Kai made sure his fashion was as sharp as his football skills, donning a £204 black Casablanca Tennis Club Icon T-shirt, teamed with a diamond stud and baseball cap — a clear nod to his mum Coleen’s well-documented love of designer labels.
On the same day, the teenager shared an edgy bathroom selfie in the same cap and a black hoodie layered over his designer tee.

It’s been a golden spell for Kai on the pitch too. Just last month, fans were left stunned when he scored a sensational goal for United’s U17 side against Real Sociedad. Holding off defenders with strength and skill, he calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner, leaving supporters convinced he’s inherited his dad Wayne Rooney’s footballing magic.
Kai has been part of United’s academy since 2020, and in his first full season alone he netted an incredible 56 goals. Supporters even jokingly called for him to join the first team after watching his impressive drills over the summer.

Yet the teen has already faced the darker side of football fame. Earlier this year, his mum Coleen revealed that he sometimes endures abuse from rival fans because of his father’s legendary career. She recalled one tough moment when Kai missed a penalty after being taunted: “The keeper was shouting, ‘Your dad’s s***,’ and Kai got dead angry. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, he usually shrugs it off. He’s strong-minded.”
Like his father before him, Kai is learning to balance talent, pressure, and the spotlight — but judging by his performances and confidence, he’s determined to write his own story.
