Declan Donnelly has thanked TV Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick for coming to the rescue of his beloved pet dog Rocky.

The adorable dachshund was cared for by Noel Fitzpatrick and his team after a nasty run-in with a grumpy fox in Dec’s garden.

The I’m A Celebrity and Britain’s Got Talent host took to social media to thank the hero vet.

Sharing a photo of Noel cuddling Rocky he wrote: “Another thank you to this guy @profnoelfitzpatrick and his amazing staff for looking after Rocky and getting him back on his feet after a run-in with a grumpy fox in our garden last Sunday.

“Cheeky bugger! The care and attention from the guys at @fitzpatrick_referrals is so reassuring and comforting. Thanks again everyone. D x”

Noel is best known for his Channel Four series which pushes the boundaries of medicine by saving animals from life-threatening conditions.

“I’m glad your dog is ok xx” said one fan.

“Love this guy, we have four miniature dachshunds, hope they never need his services but glad to know such a fab vet is there for them should they ever need it!… glad Rocky is ok… xxx” wrote another.

“Absolute hero! Glad to hear Rocky is on the mend,” said another follower.

“That man is my hero! My dachshund went to him unable to use his back legs and came home three days later walking. He now bounds around the house and garden without a care in the world,” praised another.

Dec visited the vet in 2017 and thanked Noel and his team for ‘fixing’ Rocky, and last year they cared for the pooch when he hurt his back.
