Rylan Clark has shared an emotional confession about his mother Linda’s health during an interview tied to his new show with Rob Rinder, Passage to India.
Reflecting on their journey across India, Rylan, 36, revealed that while he wasn’t concerned about his own mortality, the thought of losing his mother weighed heavily on him. He admitted: “I’m more worried about losing my mum than losing my own life. Coming back from Varanassi was eye-opening. It made me realise I’ve just got to enjoy things I’m doing, and if I’m not enjoying it, then don’t [bleeping] do it.”

Rylan has long kept fans updated on Linda’s health struggles, especially as she has become a beloved figure on Celebrity Gogglebox. Back in July, the 73-year-old was rushed to hospital, prompting Rylan to cancel work commitments. He wrote at the time: “Mummy Linda isn’t well sadly, so I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow. Thank you to the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Especially Tanya, who really looked after my mum. She’s a trooper.”

Thankfully, Linda recovered well and Rylan later reassured fans: “She’s doing really well, thankfully. Now chatting away with a lovely lady next to her. Cheers for all your messages.”
Linda has faced a series of serious health battles. Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in her thirties, she has undergone multiple operations to remove damaged parts of her bowel. In 2021, she was treated for skin cancer on her face, and in 2023, she suffered a devastating fall in Marbella, breaking both an arm and a leg which required emergency surgery.

Through it all, Rylan has stood by her side, openly sharing his love and fear of losing the woman he calls his greatest support.
