Eamonn Holmes has once again sparked concern among fans after revealing he’s back in hospital — this time with an eye issue.
The 65-year-old GB News presenter, who has faced a string of health battles over the past few years, shared a photo on Instagram wearing a large eye patch, joking: “One of these eye patches was put on in hospital and the other one by me. See if you can guess which? You should see the other guy!”

While he didn’t share details, a source later revealed that Eamonn had undergone a minor eye operation, though the recovery seemed to be taking longer than expected. The insider added: “It’s one thing after another for him — he’s still dealing with his back problems and has more surgery coming up. It’s really knocked him out.”
Fans flooded his comments with messages of support. One wrote, “Gosh, hope you’re okay Eamonn!” while another added, “Sending you big hugs and positive energy to get well soon.”

Eamonn’s latest setback follows a series of painful health challenges. Earlier this year, he fell live on air during a GB News broadcast — just two weeks after another fall that had already hospitalised him. Speaking about the incident, he admitted: “It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised me and that hit me right in the back. And that hit me again right in the back. Really really sore.”

Sources at GB News have reportedly expressed concern over his condition, though fans insist the broadcaster’s trademark resilience will see him through once more.
