Baby No.7! Jason Manford, 44, hints wife Lucy Dyke may be expecting their SEVENTH child in a cryptic post — just two years after revealing he’d had a vasectomy

Jason Manford set the internet alight this weekend after hinting — or at least appearing to hint — that he and wife Lucy Dyke might be expecting baby number seven. The comedian, 44, shared a photo from what looked like a hospital waiting room, sitting directly under an ultrasound image while rolling his eyes. He captioned the snap: “Here we go again,” immediately sending his fans into a frenzy.

Jason, who already has six children — two daughters with Lucy and four older kids with ex-wife Catherine — famously underwent a vasectomy in 2023. At the time he joked it would be “a medical impossibility” for him to expand his family and admitted he had finally “done the respectable thing and had the snip.”

So when his Instagram post dropped on Sunday, thousands of followers were left scrambling to figure out whether he was joking or genuinely about to welcome his seventh child.

Comments poured in within minutes: fans asked “Or are you actually??!”, teased him as “a glutton for punishment,” and even joked he’d need “an A-Team van” to transport a family that large. Many congratulated him outright, assuming the news was real.

But the truth was far less dramatic — and typically Jason. He later clarified to the Daily Mail that the post was just a wind-up. “Sorry folks! I was winding you up! I’m at an ultrasound place for a potential hernia,” he said, laughing off the rumours.

The funny man has been consistent about not wanting any more children. He previously revealed he needed a “spreadsheet” just to manage the six he already has and insisted he’d hit his absolute limit. Even holding his nephew for a few minutes recently was enough, he said, to remind him: “Nope… I don’t miss this bit.”

Earlier this year, Jason also surprised fans with his noticeably slim appearance in an Instagram clip promoting his stand-up shows. Followers commented that he looked “loads younger,” “very trim,” and “lean,” with one even asking bluntly whether he’d been using weight-loss injections.

For now, though, Jason remains steadfast: no seventh baby — just a comedian with a mischievous sense of humour, a very busy family life, and apparently, a suspected hernia.
