Davina McCall has opened up about the raw, emotional storm she faced after being diagnosed with breast cancer — just one year after surviving brain tumour surgery.
The 58-year-old presenter, known for her infectious energy and positivity, admitted she was “f***ing stamping her feet” in fury as she tried to process the shocking news.

Speaking at her Dine With Davina charity event, she revealed: “I got really fing angry. And you know me — I’m a pacifist, I don’t really get angry. But I was like, ‘Are you fing joking? What the f**k! Are you serious?’”
Her fiancé, celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas, eventually helped her open up after noticing she was bottling everything inside. “He looked at me and said: ‘Stop. I can see what you’re doing. You’re not fine.’ And I snapped — ‘I’m not fing fine, that’s why I’m fing mad!’” she recalled.

Davina later explained that her cancer was caught “very, very early” after she discovered a lump while following breast-check posters she’d seen in ITV’s restroom — part of Lorraine Kelly’s awareness campaign. “Those signs saved my life,” she said. “They made me check. They made me act.”
After undergoing a lumpectomy, Davina received the all-clear and will complete five days of radiotherapy in January “as an insurance policy.” Reflecting on her recovery, she added: “I’m so relieved it hasn’t spread. I was angry when I found out, but I’ve let that go. I feel positive now.”

Fans and celebrity friends — including Julia Bradbury, Amanda Holden, Penny Lancaster, and Gaby Logan — rushed to send their love.
Davina, who last year endured a six-hour operation to remove a brain cyst, said she now cherishes every moment. “Everything is a joy — getting up, having a coffee. I’m just grateful to still be here.”
