Amanda Holden fires swipe at Holly Willoughby as co-star makes ‘replacement’ comment
Heart Radio presenter Amanda Holden was previously accused of taking a swipe at Holly Willoughby in 2023, following Phillip Schofield’s This Morning departure, but she denied this was the case

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has taken a swipe at her former This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby.
Discussing her and Paul C Brunson’s new Netflix show Cheat: Unfinished Business on Heart Radio today, the presenter addressed reports about a second series being made.
She said: “Well, yesterday I read in the paper that we are doing another series, but I don’t know for sure.”
Humorously stirring the pot, her co-star Jamie Theakston chimed in and asked: “What are they suggesting, they getting Holly Willoughby?”
Taken aback by his comments, Amanda, 54, replied: “I… what?!”, before adding with a laugh: “No, they want a proper presenter.”
In response, Jamie said: “You’re going to get in trouble for that!”, to which she joked: “No one’s listening.”

Both Amanda and Holly have previously presented on ITV show This Morning.
The latter was one of the show’s most recognised presenters up until her departure after 14 years in 2023.
Amanda co-hosted the show alongside former presenter Phillip Schofield, while Holly was on maternity leave.
After working together, he told Heat Magazine that Amanda kept him on his toes.
He amusingly added: “She has a faulty edit button and she forgets she’s on the telly, which is enormously endearing and funny, but occasionally quite scary.”

She also said she “absolutely loved” working on the show, however the pair’s dynamic appeared to change a few years later.
Conflicting reports at the time suggested that Phillip asked to work with Rochelle Humes over Amanda, though ITV denied this was this the case.
In 2019, Amanda appeared to confirm that she was not a fan of her former co-star during a radio quiz on Heart Breakfast.
When asked what she wouldn’t want to find in her house, she joked: “Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.”
She went on to tell Jamie that she had invited Phillip over for a coffee to discuss matters but never received a reply.
In 2023, Amanda was accused of taking a swipe at Holly in an Instagram video.
Returning to the show for the first time following Phillip’s departure, Holly began as part of an emotional speech: “Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you OK? I hope so.”
Shortly after, the Heart Radio presenter took to her Instagram video to showcase a white jumpsuit she was wearing at the time.
Speaking to her followers, she began: “Hello, it is Tuesday. Are you OK?”
With a smile, she added: “I’m wearing this gorgeous white jumpsuit. It’s been in my wardrobe for ages and I’ve been dying to wear it because the weather’s got better and I can.”

Denying that she was mocking Holly, Amanda said in a statement: “Sadly strong and intelligent women have for far too long been pitted against one other when we should all be celebrated in our own right.
“Women are still expected to say nothing, suffer silently and just get on with it. And we do… mostly.”
