As Aitch tries to stay calm, one spider scurries up his neck and lands directly on his lips — prompting Ant to gasp and whisper that it was “on his face,” while Dec stared in shock. The pair could be seen yelping and covering their mouths as they watched the ordeal unfold in front of them.
The trial features a giant fake spider dangling above Aitch, with Ant and Dec explaining that he must unhook stars attached to its legs and secure them in his bag within four minutes if he wants to win meals for camp.
How he copes will only be revealed in tonight’s episode.
The moment comes just days after Aitch admitted he has a “soft spot” for actress and campmate Shona McGarty — a confession that stunned viewers who believed he was still dating psychology student Lois Cottam.
However, reports now claim Aitch and Lois quietly ended their relationship earlier this month before he entered the jungle.
