Eamonn Holmes Beams Beside Girlfriend Katie Alexander at £150 Million Charity Gala — Just Days After Admitting He Now Needs Full-Time Carers to Dress, Feed and Support Him

Eamonn Holmes appeared happier than he has in months as he stepped out with girlfriend Katie Alexander for John Caudwell’s star-studded charity gala on Friday night — just days after issuing a deeply emotional update about his declining health.

The 65-year-old presenter, who now relies heavily on mobility aids, steadied himself with only his walker as he smiled beside Katie outside the billionaire’s £150 million Mayfair mansion. Despite his ongoing struggle with spinal complications, Eamonn looked determined, composed and visibly uplifted by Katie’s presence.

Katie, 43, went full glam for the glitzy evening, turning heads in a ruched purple-brown dress paired with a cosy brown fur-look jacket, gold heels and a sleek black leather clutch. She stayed close to Eamonn all night, appearing upbeat and protective of him.

The couple were spotted mingling with fellow guests, including former boxing champion David Haye and his girlfriend Sian Osborne, who made a dramatic entrance in a plunging hot-pink gown and leather jacket.

Their appearance comes shortly after Eamonn opened up on GB News about the harsh realities of his medical struggles. While discussing the controversy surrounding Peter Mandelson allegedly urinating in public, Eamonn admitted he related more than people realised, revealing: “I’m getting over a medical condition, and I just can’t wait.”

He added that during flare-ups of his spinal condition, finding accessible bathrooms in time can be impossible. “What else is the man to do? Knock on someone’s door and ask to use the toilet? Most people would say no,” he said, calling for more understanding.

The presenter also hinted at behind-the-scenes tensions, noting: “As my producer says in my ear, the giveaway is next. They’re obviously not interested in this dilemma or how it relates to me.”

Eamonn has faced severe health decline since his 2021 spinal surgery left him with long-term damage. Speaking recently to the Sunday World, he shared the brutal reality of his condition: he now requires daily carers to help him dress, eat and navigate his day. “I’d say this is the toughest stage of my life ever. And I just battle on,” he admitted.

Despite everything, his appearance with Katie — smiling, supported, and undeniably devoted — offered a rare moment of warmth and hope amid the hardest chapter of his life.
