“Three Blows at Once” – Eamonn Holmes Faces a Triple Crisis: Younger Girlfriend Walks Away, Health Declines, Career Crumbles: “It’s Falling Apart”

Eamonn Holmes is reportedly facing another difficult chapter as health woes, career setbacks, and personal struggles pile up.

The GB News presenter, 65, is said to be “grumpier than ever” amid claims his relationship with 43-year-old Katie Alexander has hit a rough patch. A source close to the star told the Daily Mail that things have become “rocky” between the pair, adding that Eamonn has been spending more time in Belfast with his family — often without Katie.

“He’s grumpier than ever and his health problems really aren’t helping,” the insider said. “Instead of moving closer to Katie and settling, he’s spending more time with his family in Belfast.”

The veteran broadcaster has endured years of chronic pain following spinal surgery in 2022, which left him reliant on a wheelchair and walking frame. Earlier this year, he suffered a shocking fall live on air and was later hospitalised after another tumble at home.

Adding to the strain, Eamonn is no longer represented by his long-time management agency, InterTalent Rights Group, and his manager Jonathan Shalit. A colleague told the press: “It seems to be fizzling out for him. He moans and moans, and he’s very low – the only thing that cheers him is going to work.”

However, Katie has dismissed reports of relationship trouble, declaring: “It’s the two of us… Always and forever.”

Eamonn himself has admitted that his health has caused emotional strain. He previously said, while still married to Ruth Langsford, that his constant pain had tested everyone’s patience. “Even my own family are bored of my moaning,” he shared. “It’s agony, and Ruth was fed up hearing me say I can’t walk the dog or tidy up.”

Earlier this month, he shared a photo of himself wearing an eye patch after a hospital visit, joking to fans: “One of these eye patches was put on in hospital and the other by me. See if you can guess which! PS: You should see the other guy!”

Despite his ongoing challenges, friends say Eamonn remains passionate about his work, with one source adding: “He loves being on air — it’s what keeps him going.”
