Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones have once again set tongues wagging after being spotted sharing a cosy lunch near their Manchester TV studios, just weeks after reports claimed they had “cooled off” their blossoming romance.

On a rainy afternoon, Gethin, 47, was seen gallantly giving his umbrella to Helen, 42, ensuring she stayed dry while he took the brunt of the weather. The Morning Live duo, who recently reunited on-screen after the summer break, looked relaxed and cheerful as they stepped inside the restaurant. Helen kept it sporty in brown Adidas track pants and a white top, while Gethin opted for casual black trousers and a grey t-shirt.

Their outing comes after Gethin returned to work following the heartbreaking death of his father. Sharing the news last month, he revealed, “Dad was poorly for a while, he put up a good fight. It was so nice to see his dry humour, faith and love for classical music shine through at the end.” The Welsh presenter said his father had touched countless lives during his 40-year career as a teacher, including 28 years as a headmaster.

Just a day before their lunch, Helen was also seen carrying two coffees before joining Gethin at the BBC studios, sparking whispers that their connection is as strong as ever. Although they have never officially confirmed a relationship, they’ve been spotted enjoying off-screen moments together, including a spa day earlier this year.

Now, with cosy lunches, coffee runs and on-screen chemistry reignited, speculation is mounting that Helen and Gethin may be giving romance another chance.
