Gardai launch search for teenager, 16, missing from Dublin for 11 DAYS as family ‘concerned’ amid urgent witness appeal

GARDAI have launched an urgent search for a teenager who has been missing from Dublin for over a week.
Troy Skerett, 16, has been missing from Chapelizod in Dublin 20 since Monday, April 27.
The teenager, who is known to frequent the Dublin 1 area, has not been seen since.
Gardai and Troy’s family have said they are “concerned for his well-being” and urged anyone who can assist in locating him to come forward.
The teenager, who has dark brown hair and brown eyes, has been described as around five foot six inches in height, with a slim build.
He was wearing a navy tracksuit when he was last seen.
In a statement this morning, Gardai urged anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 16 year-old Troy Skerett, who was reported missing from Chapelizod, Dublin 20 since Monday 27th April 2026.
“Troy is described as being approximately 5 foot 6 inches in height, with a slim build, brown/black hair and brown eyes.
When last seen, Troy was wearing a navy tracksuit. Troy is also known to frequent the Dublin 1 area.
“Gardai and Troy’s family are concerned for Troy’s well-being.
“Anyone with any information on Troy’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station on (01) 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
