Junior Andre takes huge relationship step with older girlfriend and shares marriage plans
Junior Andre has taken a big step in his relationship with girlfriend Jasmine Orr, who is four years his senior, with the couple already revealing their marriage plans.
At just 20 years old, Junior Andre has more experience in the limelight than most ever do, having been born into fame with Peter Andre and Katie Price as parents. Now, the budding musician is carving out his own career in showbiz, with his stunning girlfriend, Jasmine Orr, by his side every step of the way.
As we join the couple for what is their first ever joint interview, Junior and Jasmine, 24, who have been dating since last April, reveal they officially have a place of their own.
“Yes, we’ve moved into our own little flat together!” beams Junior, who excitedly talks us through the couple’s modern one-bedroom abode in Surrey, which they are currently decorating.
Junior is clearly smitten with the influencer, who he met through events while she was working in PR. He says, “We just want to spend every day together. And so we thought, ‘Let’s try to live together. You know, I feel like we’re ready. It was like, ‘What are we actually waiting for?’”
The reality has been quite a learning curve, admits Junior. “It comes with its stresses, and it’s been harder than I thought with furniture and bills and everything, but when you feel like you’ve found the right person, it’s actually great. We’re just on good vibes.”
Describing their yin and yang dynamic, Jasmine adds that the strain of a big house move is something the couple has, nonetheless, swiftly navigated.
“Junior’s been a bit more overwhelmed than I have, but I feel like we stress about different things, so if we notice that the other person is struggling with something, then we bring them back down,” says Jasmine, who admits she’ll be the one taking the lead when it comes to interior design choices.
The couple are clearly in a bubble of love since moving into their own space, but Junior confesses that his singer dad, Peter, is already missing him around the family home nearby. Junior previously lived between mum Katie and dad Peter, with stepmum Emily MacDonagh, his 18-year-old sister Princess and half-siblings Amelia, 11, Theo, nine, and Arabella, 15 months.
“I’ve grown up with them in the house. So you know, I’m a big part of the family and I’m the big bro. They’ve missed me and my siblings are missing annoying me as well, which I’m happy to have got away from!” jokes Junior. However, he assures us he’ll make sure to carve out plenty of family time with both his dad’s side of the family and his mum, Katie’s.
“They were really happy for us and supportive. My parents were both there if we needed anything while moving, and we’re still going to be going for barbecues at Dad’s, or to my mum’s for movie nights. Family is so important. We’re going to host them here, too, once everything is settled,” he adds.
While Junior says his parents – who split in 2009 – have been supportive of his relationship, it was still a big step for Jasmine to meet them last year.
“I was nervous,” she admits, “but I feel like it’s always nerve-wracking when you’re meeting the family of the person you’re dating! But I had met Princess before, which made it easier. It was just the nerves of wanting to make a good impression.”
Jasmine says Princess is like a ‘sister’ to her already, adding, “Princess and I go for breakfast and shopping together, she’s like my little best friend.”
And while Jasmine may have had some nerves, there was never any doubt in Junior’s mind that she’d go down a storm with his family.
“I knew they’d like her because I’ve got very good taste. I’m good at reading people and if she’s my partner, then she must be amazing,” says Junior, whose declaration leaves Jasmine blushing.
“You hear a lot of stories about people loving each other and the parents don’t agree with the relationship for whatever reason, which is really upsetting.
“But I think, in the end, love really does conquer all. Luckily for us, our parents love us both so much and are really supportive.”
With their love life already in the public eye – the pair have been looking every inch the star couple on several glamorous red carpets – have Peter or Katie given any advice to the young lovebirds about navigating the spotlight?
“No,” Junior laughs. “I mean, I’m my own man, aren’t I? So, I learn for myself and I think that’s the way everyone does it. “It’s the same way my parents did it, you know, just life experience. You live and you learn.
“Parents are there to talk to, but I don’t really take advice from them because you’re the one in the relationship, you’re the one making decisions.”
Often attending events together and walking red carpets hand-in-hand, the young couple appear to be naturals at handling the limelight.
“I would have ideally been in a private relationship,” admits Junior. “But that’s impossible in my family. So you know, it was kind of inevitable. People think they know you and your business, which can be hard, but we just go with it.”
There were raised eyebrows from some quarters over their four-year age gap but, as Junior asserts, age has never been an issue for the pair.
“There are so many married couples who are years and years apart, but it’s about the person at the end of the day, what they’ve gone through and their life experiences. Age is just a number in that sense, you know what I mean?
“Some people have more maturity and emotional intelligence, so I feel like I’m very beyond my years. I need someone who understands me and gets me, and Jasmine definitely does.”
Between the odd fit of giggles as they laugh at an in-joke, to dubbing each other ‘cute’ between answers, there’s no denying the chemistry between them.
They may only be at the beginning of their journey, but have they talked about tying the knot, we wonder? “Well, that’s looking a bit too far ahead! Easy there,” laughs Junior, before adding thoughtfully, “We’re young and not putting any pressure on ourselves, that’s all that matters. We want to travel and do amazing things,” he adds.
“But we’re with each other, aren’t we? I don’t think we’d be with each other if we didn’t feel like we’d found the right person.”
Looking to her beau, Jasmine simply adds, “I don’t see life without him,” which leaves Junior admitting he’s the one blushing now.
One thing they do have is big goals and a huge dollop of ambition. Junior is already following in his dad’s footsteps, and hopes to carve out a career in music and acting. Jasmine works in management and also models.
“I’m involved with music every day of my life and I have been for years. I’m always working on new material, so that’s coming, and I’m also auditioning for acting roles, too, which is exciting.
“When I’m selling out shows, to have Jasmine by my side will just be great and, one day, when she’s the number one supermodel, I’ll be there on the FROW, cheering her on!”
And Jasmine has every faith that her man can hit great heights in his music career. “Junior is so good at performing, he looks like he belongs on the stage. He’s so talented and it’s his passion, so I love to see that.”
With younger sister Princess already starring in her own ITV2 reality show, and Junior’s parents famously having played out their relationship on TV, will we see a Katie & Peter -style show from Junior and Jasmine?
“Never say never,” grins Junior. “We’d be open to it, but it would have to be real. I don’t like cheesy, fake stuff, so that would be the only prerequisite, but we’ll see! We want to do a lot of travelling in the next year, so that’s our main focus.”
Sounds like a power couple in the making…
