Geri Halliwell-Horner pulled out all the stops to celebrate her mother Ana’s milestone 80th birthday, throwing a spirited girls’ night filled with laughter, music, and plenty of ABBA.
The former Spice Girl shared a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday as she and eight of her closest friends danced in the garden to hits including Thank You For The Music and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!. Beaming in the summer sunset, Geri gushed: “Happy birthday Mama! 80 today. Thank you for the music,” alongside two pink hearts.

It was a joyful snapshot of family life, highlighting once again the close bond between Geri and her Spanish-born mother, who she previously described as “a wonderful, strong and caring mother and grandmother figure.”
But away from the party, Geri has faced mounting pressures. Just weeks earlier, her husband Christian Horner was released from his role as Red Bull Racing’s team boss after a year-long scandal over leaked text messages. Geri has continued to stand firmly by his side, even as the sport reeled from the shock decision that ended Horner’s record-breaking reign in Formula One.

Adding to the strain, her publishing venture Falcon Queen Productions has reportedly plunged £1million into debt. The company, which released Geri’s children’s books Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen and Rose Frost: Ice On Fire, posted a £750,000 deficit in August 2024, up from £276,000 the year before.

Still, Geri’s main firm, Wonderful Productions – set up in 1997 during the Spice Girls’ heyday – continues to generate millions from her music and commercial projects. For now, she seems determined to put business woes aside and focus on family, dancing with her beloved mum as Ana enters her ninth decade.
