Chris Hughes has fiercely defended his relationship with JoJo Siwa after online trolls accused him of chasing fame. The 32-year-old former Love Island star, who shocked fans earlier this year by coupling up with the 22-year-old singer on Celebrity Big Brother, shared affectionate snaps of the couple over the weekend with the caption: “just everything – missing you.”

But amid the sweet posts, negativity crept in. One troll named Pauline commented, “Does anybody else find this creepy?” Chris didn’t hold back, clapping back with: “No Pauline, you’re miserable, p**s off kindly.” When she replied with “lol we see how long it lasts,” Chris doubled down: “Yeah again, you don’t need to speak, you don’t follow me, respectfully do one thank you.”

Another user named Liz accused him of being fame-hungry, saying, “Mate sort yourself out. You would do anything for fame.” Chris responded sharply, “The real world! Online bullies are the real world apparently,” after Liz tried to justify her comment.
Despite the backlash, Chris’s fans praised him for standing his ground. One wrote, “Love your energy tonight, Chris!”

In recent interviews, Chris has opened up about his deep feelings for JoJo, even talking about marriage and children. “We genuinely speak to each other about this,” he told US Weekly. “Of course I want to get married to her. One day I’d love to have children—it would be an absolute dream.”
He also revealed that JoJo has a cheeky nickname for his private parts: “She calls my balls Jimmy and Timmy,” he said with a laugh during an E! News segment.

Their romance, though unconventional, has grown quickly. Chris recalled a recent Malibu date night where he and JoJo realised it was their first proper outing as a couple, despite already being inseparable. “She’s literally the love of my life,” he said. “But she’s also my best friend.”
JoJo echoed his sentiments. Speaking to TMZ and The Guardian, she said Chris is her “favourite person in the world,” and denied rumours their relationship is a PR stunt. “Clearly, you’ve never been around us,” she said. “The happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. I was massaging my cheeks yesterday—I’ve never been in pain from smiling so much.”
