“WE’VE FOUND HER, BUT…” — Police issue a SAD update during the search for 85-year-old pensioner Glenda Keal, who went missing after getting off a bus five days ago

A body has been found in the search for a missing pensioner who disappeared five days ago.

Glenda Keal, 85, was last seen pulling a shopping trolley after getting off a bus in Hinckley, Leicestershire, at around 1.45pm on Sunday, December 7.

Leicestershire Police said she took the number 158 bus from The Hollow in Earl Shilton to The Crescent in Hinckley before she vanished.

CCTV footage was released that showed Ms Keal walking towards Westfield Road in the town.

During their search, the force revealed they had been looking for a teenage boy on a bike who she had been seen speaking to after getting off the bus.

However, police have now confirmed that a body has been found in their search for Ms Keal.

Officers received the report that the body had been found in the area of Brick Kiln Street in Hinckley shortly after 8.40am yesterday.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed by the police be Ms Keal.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: ‘Her family are currently being supported by specialist officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

‘Her death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.’
