The race for the I’m A Celebrity crown took a dramatic turn tonight as the final four were cut down to three — and viewers were left gobsmacked when musician Aitch became the ninth star to leave the jungle. His elimination came just moments after he fulfilled his long-held dream of conquering the legendary Celebrity Cyclone.
Following the double eviction of Jack Osbourne and Lisa Riley the night before, Shona McGarty, Aitch, Angry Ginge and Tom Read Wilson stepped into their biggest challenge yet. But the night wasn’t without controversy — especially after Ruby Wax slammed Shona and Alex Scott for sneaking contraband into camp. Calling it “selfish”, Ruby claimed Shona had “gone from shy to entitled,” adding that the actress “started off really inhibited, and now look at her.”
When Ant and Dec arrived to reveal the results, tensions soared. The Geordie duo teased all four contestants before finally announcing that Aitch would be the next to go. The rapper also had to confront the infamous “sweet-gate” scandal once more, awkwardly admitting that stealing the sweets was “perfect timing” before cheekily adding that Kelly Brook “didn’t snitch good.”
Inside camp, emotions ran high. Shona broke down in tears, telling her friends how proud she was of herself. Ginge admitted he was most proud of making his mum proud, while Aitch described the entire experience as “the best rollercoaster I’ve ever been on.”
Earlier in the show, the quartet battled their way through the most chaotic Celebrity Cyclone yet. Ant shouted that they were “making a pig’s ear of this” as stars slipped, got swept away and repeatedly lost their markers — with Ginge receiving a blunt warning after being hit in the face: “That’s what you get for being cocky!”
Despite the chaos, they eventually triumphed — to the delight of Ant, who declared it his “favourite one ever”. Off-screen, Lisa Riley praised Ginge as her pick for King of the Jungle, though she admitted she wouldn’t be surprised to see Shona take the crown.
With the tightest vote “in recent memory,” insiders believe the shared fanbase between Ginge and Aitch may have split support — potentially opening the door for an unexpected last-minute surge for Shona. And she may already have one superstar backing her: Katie Price. Posting online, Katie declared: “The queen of the jungle has got to be Shona. She’s done amazing, is beautiful and sounds like an angel. Let’s make that girl win!”
